Breathing is a Brain Massage: Tools for Compassionate Cognition

Breathing is a Brain Massage: Tools for Compassionate Cognition Online

The usefulness of a self-care practice depends on the context. Previous experiences and expectations will influence the effectiveness of given approach. In this workshop, we’ll explore breathing, meditation, and other self-care techniques. We’ll cover how they work and what research tells us about them, including how to modify them for specific circumstances. Through these discussions, we’ll explore how self-compassion can help you find the best practice(s) for you! This discussion will be led by Jonna Kwiatkowski, Professor of Psychology at Mars Hill University, and yoga & meditation practitioner/teacher/researcher. All are welcome!
